ECUMENISM IS DOMINATED BY UNCLEAN SPIRITS

This book is the transcript of the 3-hour program of the conversation between the manager of the Piraeus Church Radio Station, Mr. Lykourgos Markoudis and professor Demetrios Tseleggides— professor Tseleggides details Elder Ephraim’s of Katounakia attestation to him relative to the topic of ecumenism.

In what follows, I will say something that pertains to a personal deposition. I was associated for several decades with Elder Ephraim of Katounakia, of renowned ethos and conscience. Also renowned was the fact that he possessed a “spiritual television.” As for me, I had gone to him on many occasions, always with the intention of posing certain very specific questions, in a specific sequence, and using my own vocabulary. When I would visit him, and without ever stipulating or presenting to him my questions, he would give me the replies that I sought, in the sequence and even using the vocabulary to which I was accustomed. I am mentioning this as a de facto personal experience; such experience is not an unprecedented phenomenon—it has been experienced by many others as well.

Today, December 7th, we celebrate the memory of our Father Among the Saints Ambrose of Milan. The Life of the Saint, written by his close disciple Paulinus, relays important information on the state of the Church at the time and the way in which the Saint was elected bishop which is quite relevant to our contemporary situation and very instructive for us vis-a-vis how the Fathers of the Church dealt with heresy.

I will state them plainly and then comment again on them below, in the midst of excerpts from the Life of the Saint:

1. 50 years AFTER the First Oecumenical Council, which condemned Arianism, it is clear that there were Arians and Orthodox within the same Church communion.

2. The battle against Arianism raged for many decades WITHIN the Church, so much so that we see Arians succeeding Orthodox hierarchs and vice versa.

3. Elections of bishops were conducted within a local church, even within each parish, by BOTH Arians and Orthodox parishioners, meaning that they were in communion and attending the same parishes, communing of the same Chalice. (This is also apparent in the Life of St. Meletios of Antioch.)

INTRODUCTION

Many believers write to me or ask me when I visit parishes or speak somewhere, what am I able to do, as a lay person, when my priest or bishop diverts from the Faith of the Church or teaches or guides believers in a manner contrary to the received Tradition and teaching of the Holy Fathers. The following excerpt from the homilies of the great Elder and Teacher of the Church, Athanasius Mytilinaios of Greece provides a good answer.

EXCERPT:

There exists the pan-heresy of ecumenism, which has taken hold of Patriarchs and Archbishops by the back of the neck the world over. Patriarchs and Archbishops throughout the world. You know, when someone comes and grabs you by the back of the neck, you are immobilized. If you grab a cat by its neck and you lift it up, he cannot bite you. He is unable to do anything and is immobilized.

With the canonization of one of the greatest saints of our days, we wish to publish an article of great interest for all Orthodox faithful.

Elder Paisios of the Holy Mount Athos has been canonized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, during the session of the Holy Synod on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015. Saint Paisios had already been accepted as a Saint from the faithful and it was a matter of time for his canonization. His feast day has been established as July 12th, the day of his repose. God is wondrous among His Saints! May we have his blessing!

Topic: The heretical positions of Vassiliki (Vassula) Pendakis-Ryden.

Over the last few days Vassula Ryden has been appearing in the media, giving lectures and trying to come into contact with bishops and priests, giving the impression that she presents and teaches the Orthodox Christian faith. In reality, her teachings are heretical, and her claims that she communicates directly with Christ are fantastical and outside of the spirit of the experience of the our Church.
