ΤΗΕ ROLE OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH
The
Church is not supposed to satisfy our earthly plans
There
are people who think the Church is here, to favor our earthly plans.
This is wrong, too! This is not what the Church is for. When we think
of the Orthodox Church like that, we have superstitious view and
consider Her like any other religion on earth. Orthodoxy is not a
religion; She is the revelation of God in man, with a sole purpose to
heal our whole human nature, our nous, our soul and our body!
When
to pray
Normally,
we are supposed to pray ceaselessly. To get used to it, we can set up
a schedule to pray during certain hours within the day. In the
morning, it is a very good moment for someone to practice the noetic
prayer and say “Lord
Jesus Christ, have mercy on me” with
our mouth for several times.
